My Visiting Banff, Canada (Alberta).

  Summer Vacation Trip 2010.

1       My Visiting Banff, Canada (Alberta).

Now, I would like to describe about my Banff Trip which was great. Our vacation
included a two day side trip. We went there by car. we enjoyed  a lot there. I can forget those moments which I spent with a lot fun. We then flew to Calgary, Alberta which was about 4 hours. The people we met in Banff were very polite and friendly. when  we wanted to take picture together, they should helped us. Banff is beautiful location. Weather conditions during summer months are pleasant, with high temperatures during July averaging 22 °C (71 °F), and daily low temperatures averaging 7 °C (45 °F) . Banff is located west of Calgary and east of Lake Louise, on the
Trans-Canada Highway
. The Town is a member of the Calgary Regional Partnership.
Banff is a resort town and one of Canada's most popular tourist destinations, known for its mountainous surroundings and hot springs. It is surrounded by mountains, notably Mount Rundle, Sulphur Mountain, and Cascade Mountain; and situated above Bow Falls near the junction of the Bow and Spray Rivers. I have seen many several nature trails within two days as like chateau lake Louise, National-Park , Drumheller, Wilde life, Gondola (Ride), Canmore( Alpine helicopter flight).  These feature wildlife, waterfalls, lakes, rivers, and mountains. Banff is located at a high latitude and thus the scenery is four-seasonal; Banff looks completely different in the winter than it does in the summer. There are two Gondolas
  • Banff Gondola and Lake Louise Sightseeing Gondola.

Climate

In summer the climate is generally mild. July is the warmest month, with an average temperature of 22C. There is rarely snow at highway level in the summer, but the mountain tops will be snow covered year round. In winter the average temperature drops drastically. January is the coldest month with an average of -15C. Snow will be found at any elevation in the winter, and harsh winter conditions can be expected anywhere at any time. No matter the season, it is important to consider that the temperature will drop 1C for every 200m of elevation gained.

Banff [1] is a town in the Alberta Rockies province of Alberta. It is the larger of the two towns in Banff National Park, nestled in the mountains, and is located about a hour and half drive west of Calgary and four hours south of Jasper.

Summer

Summer in Banff, just like winter, is stunning. There are plenty of hiking trails accessible from the main town, as well as tours for horseback riding, white water rafting, mountain biking and more. Be warned though - some smaller tour companies are not as professional as the larger tour companies. If they are overbooked, they may pass your credit card details along to a third party without your knowledge and book another tour on your behalf (not always at the same price, and not always the same tour!).
A. Canoeing. 3 minutes walk from the centre of Banff you can find the Blue Canoe docks, where you can take a tranquil canoe journey on the Bow river. There is also canoeing available of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake.
B. Wildlife Viewing, While in the area always keep your eyes peeled as there are so many animals to spot in the summer in Banff, but please keep your distance as wildlife is wild and they should be kept that way, they can be dangerous too! Learn more and have someone show you around can be a great way to see wildlife too.
C. Banff Rafting Association. Excitement for all ages, loads of fun with 4 rivers to choose from, makes white water rafting a must do when you're in Banff.
